The APS family is saddened to report that former APS President Wade Saadi passed away on October 9, 2025.

"Wade's exuberant personality and positive attitude live on in all he touched," said APS President Mark Banchik. "There is a little bit of Wade in all of us as we strive by example to make the world a better place. Please join me and the entire APS family in supporting Wade's family, and celebrating his enrichment of our lives."

The American First Day Cover Society has made an additional $5,000 contribution to Boston 2026, bringing their total donation to date to $10,000.  With over 1,100 members, the AFDCS is the third-largest philatelic organization in the United States and the largest catering to first day collectors around the world. Member covers created for the recent Boston 2026 promotional commemorative stamps will be featured over the next few weeks and months exclusively on the Boston 2026 social media channels at Facebook, X and Instagram. Last Thursday, news hit that Jay Bigalke and partner David Fritz have formed Scott Stamp LLC and acquired the Scott catalogs, Linn's Stamp News, and Scott Stamp Monthly from Amos Media. The acquisition was assisted by other investors from the philatelic world, including Don Sundman of Mystic Stamp Co. Though many details are (understandably) still under wraps, the team at Scott Stamp are hard at work on the transition to independence and modernization - we wish them the best of luck, and can't wait to hear more!
